Can you tell me your story, how it all started at HireLevel, and where you are now in your career?
I got connected with HireLevel when I was looking to move to Missouri. I was searching the local job boards and found my current position at General Mills.
Can you tell me more about General Mills, your role, and why you love it there?
I’m a Team Leader in the thermal department (Progresso Soup). Currently, this location has roughly 1,100 employees. I love it here because everyone I interact with has a sense of pride in the work they do and the quality products they produce.
What gives you the motivation to go above and beyond as an employee?
I pride myself on leading by example and being that positive voice and reassurance throughout the production process. General Mills has limitless training opportunities & allows me to take what I have learned through leadership training and put those concepts into action with my team.
What do you believe is key to being a great employee?
I believe being a great leader starts with coaching and building a great team. Everyone is worthy of respect and maintaining open and honest communication is the key to success.
Any career/life advice to others to help them get started?
Developing your desired career takes time, patience, and training, and keeping a positive mindset is key. My best advice is to venture outside of your comfort zone & never stop learning!
