One of the most rewarding aspects of my position is when I find a client who needs something customized for their particular situation. Case in point: Recently I was working with a potential client who is a regional business owner with several locations throughout Southern Illinois. He has been in business for several years but recently expanded to include additional locations. We met and I presented Extra Help services to him. After a hearty discussion where I learned more about his business, the industry and the type of HR support he was needing, I quickly realized our standard products were not what he felt his business needed at this point in his expansion. He shared with me the areas he felt he needed our expertise and I in turn asked him to give me a day or two to share his story with our management team.
I gathered our team together and described this prospect’s situation. We put our heads together and built a customized HR program for this business owner, taking into account our standard product offerings with a unique approach to implementing them to fit his individual needs. When I followed up with this business owner and presented the package we customized specifically for him, he was impressed that we were willing to fit together pieces of our products to build a complete HR package for him which filled the gaps he felt he was experiencing with his company. Since that day, he regularly includes our team in management communications and meetings. We are his partner in his daily business operations.
