(May 13, 2016- Evansville, IN) HireLevel powered by Extra Help, one of the region’s largest women-owned employment, payroll, and workforce services companies, is at it again with their new program that allows their employees to give back to their communities. Their Charitable Giving Challenge allows employees to donate money monthly, and vote on which local charities they would like to see receive the donations. They began their program in January of 2016 with the hopes of bringing awareness to their employees about the needs of their local communities, and also to understand the importance of always giving back.
The culture of any business is very important, and allowing employees to participate in these types of programs doesn’t just help the employees, but the business as well. HireLevel believes that their Charitable Giving Challenge helps to boost employee morale, makes their employees more aware of its local community’s needs, and is a great program for team building. Giving their team members the opportunity to give back, gives them more of reason to stay engaged with their business, and its overall mission.
This month, their charity of choice is Wish Upon A Star. Wish Upon A Star is based out of Evansville, Indiana and their mission is to provide once in a lifetime wishes to children between the ages of three and eighteen who have been diagnosed with a life threatening, or terminal illness. As an independent non-profit agency with no national affiliations, they rely solely on the support of their community to make these dreams come true. Currently, they receive donations through individual and corporate gifts, grants, foundation gifts, and in-kind goods and services.
The reason for the great partnership this month, comes from the help of HireLevel team member, Katrinka Stevers. Stevers is a member of their Board of Directors, and saw the amazing opportunity to give back to a great local organization.
“One of the greatest things about what they do, is that they make sure to keep all wishes local,” said Stevers. “They only grant wishes up to an hour and fifteen minute radius of Evansville. This allows for all the money donated to their cause to stay within the local community. I’m very excited that my employer has decided to make them the charity of choice for this month!”
