So, you have gone through the hiring process, sent them through training, and they are starting to learn about their individual roles. Do we just leave them to never check in again? No, our next step is to build them up as pillars in the company. Team members leave, there is no getting around that fact. But when you invest in your team’s wellbeing and professional development you are creating opportunities for your organization to build a stronger foundation. You can’t control the #TheGreatResignation, but you can be proactive to build positive relationships and investing in people while you’ve got them. – Discuss the career growth opportunities with each individual team member. “Here’s my notice” can be contagious, but it can easily be changed to “I just got promoted” or my boss recognizes my contributions to this organization.
– Conducting exit interviews allows you to listen to why your team members are leaving. Identifying the areas of improvement will allow you to be proactive with your current workforce.
– Invest in your team members, when you show your willingness to develop your employees they can see that you value them and want to continue seeing their growth in the future.
