Aug 4, 2016
Isn’t workforce management just a euphemism for human resources or employee relations? Why do I need a workforce management director or team? Why would I need to outsource my human resources? Wouldn’t I want employee relations to be internal?
While workforce management involves human resources or employee relations, it goes beyond the individual level. Workforce management includes the processes used to optimize workflows from the individual to the company level.
You may be thinking, “Okay, well, what’s workflow from the individual to the company level?” Depending on the company, a workflow could depend upon people, technology, and/ or machinery.
