Asset-9-8 Earth Day Cleanup Set for April 22 Hosted by Changing Seasons and HireLevel.

“This Earth Day Cleanup event is a great way for families and neighbors to be hands-on in the beautification of places within their communities”, said Beth Mohlenbrock of Changing Seasons Landscape Center. The Earth Day Cleanup will celebrate Earth Day with volunteers, businesses and community partners in Marion on Saturday with work projects that include trash and litter pickup to improve our neighborhoods and business properties.

Supplies such as trash bags and orange vests will be provided by Williamson County Adopt-A-Highway. Dairy Queen gift certificates will also be provided for children that volunteer for the cleanup day.

Earth Day, which originated in the United States but is now recognized internationally, was first celebrated on April 22, 1970. Every year on Earth Day, people plant trees, clean up garbage and advocate for a healthier, more sustainable environment.

Whether you’re looking for a family activity, a volunteer opportunity, some light exercise, or chance to be a part of something that will keep on giving, join your community on April 22nd for Earth Day Cleanup.

There are several public agencies and organizations that plan, support and sponsor the event in partnership with the city of Marion and Williamson County. These groups include Changing Seasons Landscape Center, HireLevel powered by Extra Help, Artstarts Company, Williamson County Adopt-A-Highway and Dairy Queen on Redco Road.
